Welcome to Sigma Consulting Group ("Sigma", "we", "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services, including recruitment, HR outsourcing, background checks, and training.
Whether you are a Client (employer) or a Candidate (job seeker), your use of our platform constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Definitions
- "Client" refers to any company, organization, or individual engaging Sigma for recruitment, HR support, or training services.
- "Candidate" refers to any individual submitting a CV, applying for a role, or undergoing assessment through Sigma.
- "Service" includes but is not limited to talent acquisition, payroll management, HR consulting, and background verification.
2. Services for Clients
2.1. Recruitment & Placement
Sigma agrees to source, screen, and present candidates based on the Client's job description. While we exercise due diligence, the final hiring decision rests with the Client. Sigma does not guarantee that a candidate will stay for a specific duration, subject to the "Replacement Policy" outlined in your specific Service Agreement.
2.2. Fees & Payment
Our fees for recruitment are contingent upon successful placement or as defined in a Retained Search agreement. Invoices are due upon receipt or within 14 days, depending on the contract. Late payments may attract interest at the prevailing bank rate.
2.3. Confidentiality
Clients agree to keep all candidate data confidential and use it solely for the purpose of recruitment. Sharing candidate profiles with third parties without Sigma’s consent is prohibited.
3. Terms for Candidates
3.1. Accuracy of Information
Candidates must ensure that all information provided in their CVs, portfolios, and application forms is accurate, current, and complete. Providing false information may result in immediate disqualification or termination of employment if already placed.
3.2. Background Checks
By applying for a role, Candidates consent to Sigma conducting necessary background checks, including education verification, previous employment references, and criminal record checks (where applicable).
3.3. No Guarantee of Employment
Registration with Sigma Consulting Group does not guarantee a job offer. We present candidates to Clients based on merit and suitability for specific vacancies.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Sigma Consulting Group or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sigma Consulting Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services. For Clients, our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in dispute.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall first be settled amicably. If no settlement is reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
