Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality dental care, including preventive, restorative, and surgical treatments. You will play a key role in promoting oral health, diagnosing dental issues, and delivering patient-centered care in line with our hospital’s standards and ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues.
- Carry out a wide range of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform minor oral surgeries as required.
- Counsel patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-procedure recovery.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records using the hospital’s documentation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety procedures.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay current with new developments in dental medicine and technologies.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and hospital-wide health initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Full registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC clinical experience in a hospital or dental clinic setting.
- Proficiency in a variety of dental procedures and the use of modern dental equipment.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Experience using dental management software is an added advantage.
