Role Summary:
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants and determining appropriate loan terms. You will analyze financial data, evaluate risk factors, and make recommendations to management for loan approval.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine loan eligibility.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential credit risks.
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports and loan proposals.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for loan approval.
- Monitor loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to loan officers and other staff members on credit-related matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting microfinance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in credit analysis, banking, or financial services.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in microfinance.
