Role Summary:
As an Environmental Impact Analyst at our client’s retail company, you will be responsible for assessing and analyzing the environmental impact of business operations, products, and processes. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities to minimize environmental footprint, improve sustainability, and enhance corporate social responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) to evaluate the potential environmental effects of business activities, products, and projects.
  • Analyze data and information related to energy consumption, waste generation, emissions, water usage, and other environmental metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to reduce environmental impact, promote sustainability, and comply with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and product development, to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions and processes.
  • Monitor and track key environmental performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in environmental management and sustainability, and incorporate new ideas and innovations into environmental initiatives.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups, to promote environmental awareness and advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental management, or related role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, with experience in conducting EIAs and implementing environmental management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex environmental concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability.
