Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Family Physician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across all age groups. This role emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and holistic support for patients and families. You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary care team, ensuring quality outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered primary care for acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Develop individualized treatment and management plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Manage common illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and infections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using the hospital’s EMR system.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals for coordinated care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, CME programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Take part in on-call schedules, weekend coverage, and emergency response as needed.
  • Support hospital-led outreach and community health programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine (e.g., FWACP, FMCP, or equivalent).
  • Full registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • 3–5 years post-fellowship clinical experience in family or general practice.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, patient interaction, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and ongoing development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a multi-specialty hospital or private healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Empathetic, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
