We are recruiting a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Officer to join our client, a prominent medical device distribution company based in Lagos. As a Logistics Officer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the logistics operations to ensure the seamless and efficient movement of goods and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
- Plan and schedule shipments and deliveries in a timely manner
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and transporters to ensure efficient logistics processes
- Monitor and track the movement of goods to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, logistics activities, and performance metrics
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement cost-saving measures
- Resolve any issues or delays in logistics operations in a timely manner
- Ensure the safety and security of goods during transportation and storage
Requirements:
- OND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Logistics Officer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, procedures, and best practices
- Proficient in using logistics management software and systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
