Role Summary:
As a Medical Officer at PrimeCare Hospital, you will provide primary and acute care services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, under the supervision of attending physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to evaluate patients’ health status and develop treatment plans.
- Diagnose and treat common medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses, and refer patients to specialists as needed for further evaluation and management.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a physician in Nigeria.
- Previous experience working as a medical officer or in a similar clinical role preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
