Role Summary:
As an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to women at all stages of life. You will diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, provide prenatal care and deliver babies, and offer preventive care and family planning services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine gynecological exams and screenings, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
- Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and sexually transmitted infections.
- Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, monitor fetal development, and manage pregnancy-related complications.
- Perform deliveries, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
- Offer counseling and education to patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and obstetricians, to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in obstetrics and gynecology to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
- Proven experience working as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
