Role Summary:
As an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at our client’s healthcare facility, you will be responsible for providing medical care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and female reproductive health. You will diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, perform surgical procedures, and provide prenatal and postnatal care to pregnant women.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, and breast exams, to assess women’s reproductive health.
- Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, including regular check-ups, prenatal testing, and counseling on pregnancy-related issues.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies, complications during labor and delivery, and postpartum complications.
- Perform surgical procedures such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries as needed.
- Educate patients about contraception options, family planning, and reproductive health issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including midwives, nurses, and specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Proven experience working as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
