Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based physical rehabilitation services to patients with varying conditions and injuries. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, a patient-centered mindset, and a collaborative spirit to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to evaluate patient mobility, strength, and function.
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans using appropriate physiotherapy techniques.
- Provide therapies such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- Monitor patient progress, reassess treatment plans, and document outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals for integrated care.
- Ensure all physiotherapy records are maintained in compliance with hospital policies.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, clinical audits, and ongoing training activities.
- Uphold hygiene standards and maintain the functionality of physiotherapy equipment.
- Remain current with advancements and best practices in physical rehabilitation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from an accredited institution; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Active license with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTBN).
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation facility.
- Proven expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, documentation, and treatment planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
