Role Summary:
As a Radiologist you will specialize in interpreting medical images to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries, utilizing advanced imaging modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret medical images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound, to diagnose and characterize diseases and injuries.
- Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to referring physicians, facilitating patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Consult with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to correlate imaging findings with clinical presentations and guide patient management.
- Perform interventional radiology procedures, such as biopsies, drainages, and image-guided therapies, under imaging guidance.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards in the radiology department.
- Stay updated on advances in radiology technology and imaging techniques through continuing medical education and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in radiology.
- Valid medical license to practice as a radiologist in Nigeria.
- Board certification or eligibility in radiology.
- Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of medical imaging modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
