Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join our front desk team at a leading Radiology Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos. The ideal candidate must have extensive prior experience in a radiology or diagnostic imaging environment, with a strong understanding of patient flow, scheduling systems, and radiology terminology. This position plays a critical role in delivering excellent patient service and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the front desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors warmly, provide clear information, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately verify and update patient demographics and ensure seamless registration into the radiology system.
  • Scheduling & Appointments: Coordinate and manage radiology appointments, liaise with referring physicians, and ensure accurate exam scheduling.
  • Data Entry: Enter and maintain precise patient and examination data in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle incoming calls, manage patient invoicing and billing, and support administrative functions.
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding service to patients, physicians, and internal teams, promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Reception Area Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area that reflects the standard of care provided.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and clinicians.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide friendly, efficient, and patient-centered service.
  • Computer Proficiency: Skilled in using medical software systems, EHR platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong multitasking and organizational skills to manage schedules, calls, and documentation.
  • Basic Billing & Accounting: Working knowledge of invoicing, patient payments, and billing systems.
  • Work Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed and effective in high-volume or time-sensitive situations.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related field is required.
  • Additional certification or diploma in Medical Office Administration or Medical Reception is a strong advantage.

Industry Experience (Essential)

  • Must have at least 2–4 years of hands-on experience working in a Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, or similar medical facility.
  • Familiarity with radiology-specific scheduling systems and terminology is critical.
