Role Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe and sterile.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infection.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as required.
- Handle specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments after each procedure.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Surgical Technology or related field.
- Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Proven experience working as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
